The Deputy Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, Philip Agbese, on Sunday commended President Bola Tinubu and the nation’s security chiefs over the rescue of teachers and pupils abducted from schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, describing the operation as a breakthrough in the fight against insecurity.
The Labour Party lawmaker, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja, said the successful rescue had restored public confidence in Nigeria’s security architecture and demonstrated the resolve of security agencies to confront terrorists, kidnappers and other criminal groups.
He congratulated Tinubu, the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa, service chiefs, Police, Department of State Services and other security agencies for what he described as an outstanding display of professionalism, intelligence and inter-agency collaboration.
Agbese said the operation underscored the growing effectiveness of the Federal Government’s security strategy and the determination of the armed forces to pursue criminal elements across the country.
