A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, Tolu Bankole, has commended President Bola Tinubu and security agencies for the rescue of pupils and teachers abducted in Oriire Community, Oyo State, while calling for a comprehensive school safety framework to prevent future attacks.
Bankole, who also serves as the APC National Leader for Persons with Disabilities, made the call in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, following the release of the victims after 56 days in captivity.
The APC chieftain said the successful operation reflected the improved coordination of Nigeria’s security agencies under the Tinubu administration.
He said, “The successful operation, which ended over 50 days of captivity, is a direct result of the courage, professionalism and synergy of our security forces working under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu.
“Your sacrifice, intelligence and coordination have brought joy back to families and restored hope to our nation.
