ILORIN — A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kwara State and former Nigerian Ambassador to Japan, Prof. Gana Isa, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to resign, alleging that the administration has failed in its constitutional responsibility to protect the lives and property of Nigerians.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Wednesday, Isa said the Federal Government should relinquish power if it could no longer effectively address the country’s security challenges.
According to him, Nigeria requires committed and patriotic leadership capable of restoring security and tackling the growing threats of kidnapping, banditry and other violent crimes.
He urged the government to demonstrate greater commitment in confronting insecurity, arguing that the challenge should be treated with the urgency it deserves.
