WITH Relebohile Mofokeng gone, Some Orlando Pirates players will have to up their game next season.
There is no pretending Orlando Pirates are a better team without Relebohile Mofokeng.
Players capable of deciding matches through moments of brilliance are incredibly rare, and over the last two seasons the Bafana Bafana international repeatedly demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the finest young footballers South Africa has produced in recent years.
His move to Belgian side Royale Union Saint-Gilloise represents a significant moment for both the player and South African football, but it also presents Pirates with one of their biggest tactical challenges heading into the new season.
Replacing Mofokeng will be impossible and taking away 20 goal involvements in 36 appearances leaves some kind of damage even for a side of Pirates’ quality.
