A white Toyota Fortuner and a white Mercedes-Benz ML250 were seized.
Two people, Mohamed Imran, 39, and Suraya Imran, 37, were recently convicted on charges of fraud and uttering in the Parow Regional Court.
The provincial spokesperson for the Hawks, Lieutenant Colonel Siyabulela Vukubi, said the investigation started in March 2023, after the Hawks followed up with information regarding two vehicles that were obtained fraudulently.
“The vehicles, a white Toyota Fortuner and a white Mercedes-Benz ML250, were indeed found in possession of the accused persons, which resulted in the vehicles being seized,” Vukubi said.
The matter has been adjourned to September 21 for sentencing.
