A 52-year-old man, Ulrich Jongbloed, has been arrested for fraud after allegedly submitting a falsified proof of income to secure vehicle finance for a 2018 Toyota Fortuner.

A 52-year-old man has appeared in court on charges of fraud after he submitted a false proof of income in support of an application for vehicle finance.

Ulrich Jongbloed, 52, appeared in the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where his matter was postponed for a bail application.

Jongbloed remains in custody and will appear in court again on July 2, confirmed Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani.

He was arrested on June 25 by the Bellville Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team for alleged fraud.
