A public participation process for the City of Cape Town’s proposed mixed-use development at the King David Mowbray golf club precinct is under way.
Residents and interested parties have until August 7 to air their views on the proposed redevelopment of the King David Mowbray golf course and land.
The City has announced an extention to the original deadline for comments on the proposed redevelopment. The King David Mowbray Golf Club (KDM) welcomed the decision to extend the deadline for public comment on its draft development concept for the KDM precinct and surrounding areas in Pinelands.
The previous deadline of Monday, July 6, was considered too short given the scale and potential impact of the proposal.
The City recently launched a public participation process on its draft plans, which include affordable housing, retail and commercial space, recreational facilities, a school, public open space, and a proposed new train station.
