Diane was teamed up with Ishy, while James joined forces with Margie.‌The aim of the game was to snap up a selection of items that would rake in the greatest profit at the final auction.Diane was initially filmed scouring towns across Greater Manchester and Lancashire in search of hidden gems, but sadly missed out on the auction after falling poorly.‌Just as the teams were preparing to sell off their vintage hauls, James was spotted taking a phone call. He was heard saying: "Alright my love, get well soon. Lots of love," reports the Express. The 53-year-old then broke the news of Diane's absence to the rest of the crew."Bad news," he announced. "Sadly Diane's not gonna make it today, she's not in great shape. So, just one Gladiator. I'm gonna hold [down] the fort."‌Margie and Ishy were understandably disappointed to lose a teammate, with Margie admitting: "That's such a shame, isn't it?".Yet the bad luck didn't stop there for Diane. It later emerged that James and Margie had clinched victory in the challenge, having secured a loss of £191.28, compared to Diane and Ishy's slightly larger deficit of £196.88.‌The remaining trio paused to consider Diane's absence when Margie asked: "So, have you missed Diane today?".James swiftly responded: "Yeah it's such a shame because I know she was so excited about those auction pieces."Despite BBC audiences not witnessing the former Gladiator star's response to her defeat, the programme showcased a series of entertaining moments featuring the celebrity.Article continues belowCelebrity Antiques Road Trip is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.Choose Daily Mirror as a 'Preferred Source' on Google News for quick access to the news you value.‌BBCRoad tripsAntiques Road TripGladiatorsEntertainment
