TVTV NewsChannel 4The Channel 4 show returned to screens for another instalment22:38, 10 Aug 2026Updated 22:42, 10 Aug 2026Celebrity Hunted viewers were left fuming after a major gaffe happened on the programme.‌The Channel 4 show - which sees stars going on the run and trying to stay hidden as they are hunted by experts - returned to screens for its new series earlier this month.‌The show's latest run, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, sees celebs such as Strictly stars Amy Dowden and Carlos Gu, EastEnders' Brian Conley and his daughter Lucy and TV star siblings Scarlette and Stuart Douglas trying to hide from the Hunters.‌And on Monday (August 10) another episode aired, in which a tense moment happened when presenters and disability advocates JJ Chalmers and Sophie Morgan made a narrow escape in a bid to evade capture by Ray Howard and his team.As JJ and Sophie left the HMS Victory, a drone flew over the pair and was about to show the hunters their whereabouts, but it unfortunately ran out of battery, leaving both the hunters and fans watching at home, fuming.‌“The drone always goes down at the wrong time for the hunters,” said one person on X. Someone else added: “The battery went dead on drone — it ain’t entertainment now. Come onnnnnnnn.”A third chimed in: “Oh so they will escape just as the drone’s battery runs out.” Echoing their thoughts, another declared: “Couldn't make it up could you.” A fifth wrote: “It’s infuriating yet I can't help but watch.”‌Nonethless, viewers also previously said they "loved" the first instalment, with one posting on X: "Great start, some really interesting fugitive pairings." "Looking good so far, so full on," said someone else.It comes after last week’s Celebrity Hunted sparked backlash in an episode when the celebs flew into their starting point in helicopters as they were tracked by members of the team who tried to make them land.‌However, one viewer suggested it wasn't realistic, claiming the helicopters' flight paths would have already been laid out.One posted on X: "Has there ever been a more set up show.
