MANILA, Philippines — State seismologists reported that an effusive eruption occurred at Mayon Volcano in Albay for the 187th consecutive day early Saturday morning.

Footage and photos from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded the lava effusion from 4:11 a.m. to 4:40 a.m.

“Effusive eruption at Mayon Volcano continues for the 187th consecutive day, generating incandescent lava flows, pyroclastic density currents (PDC) or ‘uson’ and rockfalls,” Phivolcs said in a Facebook post.
