TUGUEGARAO CITY – Thirty-five tourists were stranded in the island-province of Batanes on Saturday, July 11, while Typhoon Inday veered toward Japan.
The Batanes provincial disaster risk reduction and management council has reported that the stranded guests were either forced to extend their stay at hotels and lodging houses or at the province’s guest center due to the cancellation of flights going to and from the province to Manila and other destinations.
