Inter Milan’s pending acquisition of Anan Khalaili for €25 million plus bonuses would represent the largest transfer fee ever paid for an Israeli player.

The deal, agreed upon in early July 2026, is currently on hold while the 21-year-old winger undergoes additional medical tests. A verdict is expected early next week.

The deal breakdown

Khalaili, an Arab-Israeli international previously with Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise, is set to sign a five-year contract worth approximately €2 million per season. That’s €10 million in total salary commitments on top of the transfer fee, putting Inter’s total investment in the neighborhood of €35 million before bonuses even kick in.

Khalaili stands 1.83 meters tall and is capable of playing both winger and right wing-back. Inter reportedly fought off competition from Napoli and Como to land the signing. The agreement was reached between July 2 and July 9, with Khalaili traveling to Milan around July 10 for his medical examinations.
