One foodie recently embarked on an ice cream crawl around London and tried three of the capital's highly rated gelato shops in a day. Luckily there are certain food and drink options which can genuinely help bring your body temperature down – ice cream being a prime example.‌So if you're looking to cool off this weekend and quickly, why not embark on an ice cream crawl across the capital? One foodie recently took on this challenge, sampling three of London's highest-rated parlours in a single day. Rachel kicked off her quest for the capital's finest ice cream in Soho, where one spot had been on her "list to try for a while".‌Speaking on TikTok, Rachel said: "You've been on a pub crawl but have you been on an ice cream crawl. We tried three of London's top rated ice cream spots in one day, so stick around to see what we thought.‌"Starting off with Gelupo in Soho. This place has been on my list to try for a while now. The selection wasn't huge but there were a few that sounded really good."Rachel sampled the milk chocolate and burnt caramel ice cream, which set her back £6.50 for two scoops.She continued: "And to be honest I was a bit disappointed with the chocolate. Straight away I could tell by the colour that it wasn't going to be the rich chocolate I was hoping for.‌"If you prefer a more subtle flavour, then this might be for you, but for me I wanted something a bit more chocolatey, but the burnt caramel more than made up for it."It kind of tasted like the topping of a creme brûlée, crossed with honeycomb, aka heaven. Absolutely delicious so I would definitely order that again."Content cannot be displayed without consent‌Next up, Rachel headed to Bilmonte, which specialises in Sicilian gelato, priced at £6.20 for two scoops. She raved about the "richest chocolate gelato of her life" and was amazed by the colour of the dark chocolate sea salt gelato.She continued: "The flavour was intense but balanced perfectly by the sea salt, making it ridiculously moreish."We also tried the pistachio, and wow, this was good pistachio gelato with that same creamy, stretchy texture and a really beautiful pistachio flavour and it even comes with a mini cone of melted chocolate on top!"‌After declaring that nothing could beat Bilmonte, Rachel moved on to her final destination on the ice cream tour – Big Kid Ice Cream, where two scoops will cost you a hefty £9.She told followers: "We tried a sample of the Marmite on toast, but settled on the brown sugar vanilla and the Ube blueberry muffin, the latter of which was incredible."Oh my God, the blueberry muffin flavour really came through and I absolutely loved it. Definitely my favourite flavour I tried today. I also enjoyed the brown sugar vanilla, it was like an elevated version of vanilla and complimented the Ube blueberry muffin really well.Article continues below"The only thing I'd mark this place down for was the price – £9 for two scoops was definitely the most I've ever paid for an ice cream, so next time I'll stick to the one scoop."Wrapping up her video, Rachel declared Bilmonte her top pick out of the three ice cream parlours.She concluded: "All in all – these were three very delicious ice creams and while Big Kid did have my favourite single flavour of the day, if I could only go back to one shop, it has to be Bilmonte, the quality for the price is just hard to beat."
