The tax and customs administration has played a crucial role in establishing fiscal stability, Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) chief Giorgos Pitsilis said on Friday, placing the stabilization of the public finances at the center of Greece’s return to the investment map.
Pitsilis said this progress reflected the fact that tax collection is “no longer part of Greece’s problem, but part of the solution.” He said AADE is moving toward a “data-driven” administration, with digital tax returns, pre-filled declarations and the myDATA platform transforming day-to-day interaction.
