Russia launched a missile attack on the Ukrainian capital early Saturday, with at least five powerful explosions rocking Kyiv minutes before air-raid sirens began to sound. Please remain in safe places,” Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, wrote on Telegram. Ukraine’s Air Force later confirmed an active missile threat to the city. Preliminary reports from Ukrainian monitoring channels suggested Russia may have used Iskander-M ballistic missiles or S-300/S-400 missiles launched from the neighboring Bryansk region. Ukrainian officials had not yet confirmed the exact missile types or released information on casualties or damage.
