Under Suspicion: Tracie Andrews - Lover, Liar, Killer was due to be screened on Channel 5 on Monday night.16:29, 10 Jul 2026Channel 5 has postponed the broadcast of a new true crime drama after the victim's daughter spoke out.‌Under Suspicion: Tracie Andrews - Lover, Liar, Killer had been scheduled to air on Monday night, July 13, but now an episode of Forensics: Murder Scene will air in its place.‌The move followed revelations from Lee Harvey's daughter that her family had received no advance notification about the upcoming show.‌Lee was just 25 when he was stabbed more than 40 times by his partner and aspiring model Andrews in a brutal attack on a country lane near Alvechurch in December 1996.She claimed at the time that the attacker had "staring eyes" who pursued their vehicle before embarking on the road rage attack.‌Detectives disproved her account of what happened that night with forensic evidence which showed that she had murdered him with a Swiss Army-type penknife following an argument.She was subsequently convicted of murder and given a life sentence but was released from prison in 2011.Following her release, Andrews reportedly underwent plastic surgery costing thousands of pounds in an attempt to alter her appearance.‌Almost 30 years later, a fresh TV production revisiting the tragedy has been created for Channel 5.The broadcaster informed BirminghamLive it had been withdrawn for "scheduling reasons but should be back soon".No further information was made available.‌In the lead-up to Monday night when the true crime drama was originally scheduled to come out, Lee's daughter Danielle shared a series of videos on TikTok voicing her distress.In one clip, she stated "as always" her family were the "last to know" about the production. "I am finding out through people sending it to me or on Facebook," she said.‌"What comes with Facebook are the trolls in the comments. I'm having to read comments like 'she's done her time, she's rehabilitated, leave her be, she should have stayed in jail'."I don't what to see that. I'm easy to find, I'm on TikTok, Facebook, Instagram. It's not hard to send a message saying 'we have made this documentary, drama, it's airing on this date, we just wanted to make you aware'."We don't get any of that.
