All prices are subject to change, and this article only reflects the prices available at time of publication.Chinese mini PC maker MINISFORUM unveiled its first mini PC with an Intel Core Ultra (Series 3) “Panther Lake” processor during CES: the upcoming MINISFORUM M2 Pro is a small computer with support for up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor, 12-core Intel Arc B390 graphics, and up to 96GB of LPDDR5x-9600 memory.Now the company has unveiled another compact desktop with a Panther Lake processor. But this time it’s a slightly larger PC with a less impressive chip… although you do get more expansion options. The MINISFORUM MS-03 will be available soon with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor with 4-core Intel graphics.The computer is a 195 x 195 x 42.5mm (7.7″ x 7.7″ x 1.7″) machine that looks like it uses the same chassis as some older PCs from the company, including the MINISFORUM MS-01, MS-A1, MS-A2, and MS-R1.The new model will apparently be available with a choice of at least three processors. Entry-level configurations will have an Intel Core Ultra 5 336H chip with a 12-core CPU (4 Performance + 4 Efficiency + 4 Low-Power Efficiency), an NPU that delivers up to 47 TOPS of local AI processing performance, and 4-core Intel integrated graphics.Higher-priced configurations will be available with Core Ultra 7 356H or Core Ultra 9 386H processors, which are 16-core chips (4P + 8E + 4 LP-E) with 50 TOPS NPUs and 4-core graphics.While the chips with higher model numbers promise higher CPU and GPU frequencies, neither chip offers the same level of integrated graphics performance as Intel’s Core Ultra X7 and X9 chips, which feature up to a 12-core iGPU. But there is an internal PCIe 4.0 x8 slot, so you may be able to bring your own discrete GPU.Other features include two SODIMM slots with support for up to 128GB of total DDR5-7200 memory, three M.2 slots for storage, and two 10 Gigabit SFP+ LAN ports as well as dual Ethernet ports, an HDMI port, and several USB Type-C and Type-A ports.
