Since releasing the MINISFORUM N5 Pro in the summer of 2025, the company has added several additional models including the N5 and N5 Air, while also teasing new models like the higher-performance N5 Max (with an AMD Strix Halo processor) and the fanless, SSD-only S5 and S7.And this week at Computex, the company is showing off a new 4-bay NAS powered by an Intel Wildcat Lake processor. The upcoming MINISFORUM N4 features an all-metal chassis with 4 bays for 3.5 inch hard drives plus two M.2 slots, each with support for a PCIe 4.0 x1 SSD.Powered by a 6-core Intel Wildcat Lake processor with 2 Performance cores and 4 Low-Power Efficiency cores, the system should offer a nice balance of performance and efficiency. Wildcat Lake chips are designed for 15-35 watt performance and have dual-core Intel integrated graphics and up to a 17 TOPS NPU.According to a hands-on video from NAS Compares, the system will be available with up to 16GB of onboard LPDDR RAM. That means that memory will not be user replaceable, but even if the system used SODIMMs, your upgrade options would be limited since Wildcat Lake chips only support single-channel memory.Other features include fans for active cooling, support for WiFi 7, and a set of ports that includes 10 Gigabit and 2.5 Gigabit LAN ports, a USB4 port, at least two USB Type-A ports (one appears to be USB 3.x, while the other is USB 2.0), and HDMI and DC power input connectors.via MINISFORUM
