As multiple gold-medal winners at the World Choir Games, the excited group of boys are eager to once again showcase their talents on the international stage. The 44-member touring party will compete in the Youth Choir and Show Choir categories. For 26 boys, this is their first international choir tour, while 10 are travelling overseas for the first time.
The Kearsney College Choir has earned an enviable reputation, having amassed 15 gold and seven silver medals at the World Choir Games, often referred to as the Olympics of choral music. Renowned for its vibrant performances and polished productions, the choir’s signature blend of classical, pop and indigenous South African music continues to captivate audiences around the world.
Five matriculants on the current tour were also members of the choir’s last international tour in 2024, when Kearsney was crowned overall champion at the Golden Voices of Barcelona, securing the coveted Grand Prix title.
