A 19-year-old pregnant woman from Minnathur village, who was experiencing labour pain, was provided timely emergency care by the 108 Emergency Ambulance Service on Thursday.According to official sources, an emergency call was received at 6 a.m. and 108 Ambulance was immediately sent to the location. During transport, the patient progressed into active labour. The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) G. Ramesh promptly assessed the patient, secured an IV line, started Ringer Lactate infusion, maintained appropriate positioning, and provided safe pre-hospital obstetric care. A healthy baby girl was successfully delivered inside the ambulance.The mother and baby were safely shifted to Ranee’s Government Memorial Hospital, Pudukottai, for further care.
