The Delta State Police Command has arrested a motorcycle rider for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old child he was employed to convey to and from school and collecting a ransom of N500,000 from the victim’s family.
The spokesperson for the command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a video shared on X on Thursday.
According to Edafe, the suspect had been contracted to pick up the child from home and take her to school, and return her home after classes, for a monthly payment of N10,000.
He said the suspect carried out the assignment for about three weeks before allegedly abducting the child instead of taking her to school.
