The Delta State Police Command has reportedly rescued a three-year-old girl abducted by a commercial motorcyclist and arrested the suspect identified as Kelvin Ogaga, in a case that has exposed a betrayal of trust involving school runs and ransom negotiations.

The operation was carried out by officers of the Command Anti-Vice Squad (CAVS), Sector 2, Ughelli, according to Bright Edafe, Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command,

Police said the arrest followed a petition received on 18 May 2026 from the victim’s father, who reported that his daughter was abducted by Ogaga, a motorcycle rider entrusted with transporting the child to school daily.

Investigators disclosed that the suspect allegedly abducted the child and later demanded ₦500,000 ransom from the family. The parents reportedly paid the sum before the child was released.
