The Karnataka government held a meeting with global capability centres (GCCs) operating in the state to address their operational challenges and enable faster coordination with the government.
The meeting, addressed by Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, focused on strengthening government-industry collaboration and supporting GCCs in Karnataka to take on larger global mandates across artificial intelligence, engineering, research and development (R&D), product innovation, and enterprise transformation.
The meeting was held under the platform of “KATALYST CONNECT”, a joint initiative of the Department of Electronics, Information Technology and Biotechnology and the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM).
The platform serves as a dedicated Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) initiative aimed at improving engagement between the government and GCCs operating in the state.
The Chief Minister chaired the consultation, bringing together senior executives from over 150 leading multinational enterprises, senior government officials and industry stakeholders to discuss the priorities shaping the next phase of Karnataka’s GCC ecosystem.
