Television and radio commentator, political activist and entrepreneur Anele Mda has appealed to the public for financial assistance as she battles a life-threatening illness.
Mda revealed that she has been diagnosed with liver failure and cysts near her pancreas and now requires urgent medical treatment and surgery. She said she needs to raise R195 000 to cover the cost of the procedure and related medical expenses.
In a statement shared on social media, Mda said her health problems began in 2025 but initially did not appear to be serious.
"In the middle of 2025, I fell ill, but it was not something I took seriously until I started experiencing persistent health issues," she said.
