The 2026 PNB league season has only two rounds remaining, with last weekend’s dramatic results across the men's and women's divisions leaving title hopefuls clinging to every point. What appeared to be predictable races a fortnight ago have become wide-open contests, setting the stage for the most enthralling league finishes in recent memory.

The biggest shockwave came in the men's first division, where Umhlali threw the championship race wide open with a superb home performance against league leaders Hillary. Collecting an impressive 13.5 points, the North Coast club vaulted into second place and now trails Hillary by just 1.5 points. Parkhill, who occupied second position last week, claimed 10 points against Westville BC.

Despite their victory, they slipped to third as Umhlali's bigger haul propelled them ahead. Westville dropped from third to fourth, with the gap between themselves and Parkhill widening.
