Seven houses in Thiruvalluvar Nagar near Lourdhammalpuram were reduced into ashes as fire broke out on Wednesday.Police said unidentified persons set afire the garbage in the nearby burial ground on Wednesday. As fire accidentally spread to the nearby areas with strong winds lashing this region, 7 houses were gutted completely.Fire tenders from Thoothukudi Fire Station rushed to the spot and extinguished the flame.The Thaalamuthu Nagar police have registered a case.
