Construction of the Sattanathapuram–Nagapattinam four-lane highway project under way.

Nagapattinam Collector K. J. Praveen Kumar on Wednesday inspected the ongoing construction of the Sattanathapuram–Nagapattinam four-lane highway project.The project is undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and is being executed at an estimated cost of ₹1,905 crore. The 50-km highway project is currently under construction to improve regional connectivity. The Collector reviewed the progress of the works and assessed their quality.He also inspected the renovation of the Puthur Roundabout and the construction of the 300-metre-long Vettar bridge at Panangudi and instructed the officials to expedite the works.Earlier, Mr. Kumar visited the Urban Primary Health Centre at Tata Nagar in Nagapattinam Municipality. He reviewed the healthcare services being provided to the public and inspected the availability of medicines and other essential medical supplies at the facility.Gaurav, Project Director, NHAI, and Sankaranarayanan, Nagapattinam Revenue Divisional Officer, were present.
