The Delta State Government has approved the reconstruction of the Otu-Jeremi/Udu Road at a cost of N22.69bn as part of efforts to improve road infrastructure and boost economic activities in the state.
The approval was granted during the 14th meeting of the Delta State Tenders Board for 2026, held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Deputy Governor, Government House, Asaba.
The project involves the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Otu-Jeremi/Udu Road, stretching from the Warri–Port Harcourt Expressway at ECN Junction to the DSC Expressway at Udu Road Junction, with a spur leading to Otor-Udu.
The road project, which covers parts of Ughelli South and Udu Local Government Areas, will be executed by the Ministry of Works (Highways and Urban Roads).
