Voltpost is partnering with EV charging services company InCharge Energy to roll out more of its lamppost and utility pole EV chargers across the US, starting with deployments in New York, Connecticut, and California.
The partnership is designed to speed up installations of Voltpost’s Level 2 chargers while providing ongoing maintenance and monitoring as the network grows. The companies say the goal is to bring more affordable curbside and parking lot charging to communities where installing traditional charging infrastructure can be expensive or difficult.
Voltpost’s charging system retrofits existing lampposts and utility poles instead of requiring entirely new charging installations. That approach can reduce construction costs and make it easier to add charging in dense urban neighborhoods and other locations where curbside charging is in short supply.
Under the agreement, InCharge Energy will become Voltpost’s preferred installation and service partner. Its certified field teams will handle charger installation and ongoing maintenance, giving site hosts a single point of contact throughout the life of each charger.
The partnership also includes Voltpost Care, the company’s network monitoring platform powered by InCharge’s InControl charge management software. The system provides real-time visibility into the charging network, allowing Voltpost to identify issues, dispatch service, and monitor charger performance from a single platform. The companies say that proactive maintenance and data-driven monitoring will help reduce downtime and improve reliability for EV drivers.
