Under the agreement, Optimus will deploy more than 200 new public charging ports across the southeastern United States, while ChargePoint will act as the exclusive provider of charging hardware, software and associated services.
Optimus will own and operate the sites, which are primarily planned for locations with high charging demand, including quick-service restaurants and retail centres. According to the companies, these sites have been selected to combine charging access with amenities that encourage utilisation and improve the driver experience.
