Volunteer university students and local community members taking part in a nationwide campaign led by ASEZ and the Church of God in Soshanguve.
Soshanguve Block H is much cleaner and a more pleasant place to be this week following a cleanup by a group of volunteer university students.
The cleanup was part of a nationwide campaign – also carried out in many other countries, including the US, Brazil, Austria and New Zealand – under the leadership of ASEZ and the Church of God.
A representative for the global university student volunteer group said: “With the heart of a mother who cares for her family, ASEZ will continue its efforts to protect the Earth, the home of humanity, and create a happy future.”
The opening ceremony held before the cleanup was graced by the presence of many community figures, including City of Tshwane MMC for Community Safety Hannes Coetzee who thanked the group for being “the light to this nation”.
