Russian units operating in the Prydniprovske sector of the front are experiencing a severe shortage of fuel and lubricants, while Russia is also changing its logistics in southern Ukraine due to the Ukrainian Defense Forces' sustained fire control.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the South Vladyslav Voloshyn said this during a television broadcast.
"Russian units deployed in the Prydniprovske sector are currently experiencing a total shortage of fuel and lubricants," Voloshyn said.
According to him, intelligence reports indicate that servicemen in one Russian unit pooled their money to purchase one ton of fuel. An informal market for fuel and lubricants has also emerged among Russian troops, with the price reaching about UAH 150 per liter when converted into Ukrainian currency.
"They are now using watercraft from a coastal defense unit to supply the troops stationed on the Kinburn Spit. They are trying to deliver supplies there because the Russian unit of the 337th Regiment on the Kinburn Spit is in a difficult situation. The Defense Forces maintain very tight fire control over all of these logistics routes," the spokesperson said.
