According to him, no individual or non-state group has either the legal or moral authority to determine who should reside in any country outside established legal processes.
A presidential aspirant of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley, has condemned the continued persecution, xenophobic attacks and unlawful intimidation of Nigerians and other African foreign nationals, particularly in South Africa.
In a statement titled "Enough Is Enough: The Persecution of Nigerians and Other African Foreign Nationals Must Stop," Kingsley expressed alarm over the increasing hostility against Nigerians abroad.
He called for stronger diplomatic intervention by the Nigerian government and an end to what he described as criminal vigilantism targeting foreign nationals.
Kingsley noted that recent reports from South Africa, including “criminal gangs” and self-appointed groups that issued ultimatums ordering Nigerians and other foreign nationals to leave certain communities, represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the rule of law and democratic principles.
