An All Progressives Congress House of Assembly aspirant in Kwara State, Akeeb Sulaimon, has rejected what he described as an attempt to replace him as the party’s candidate for the Odo-Ogun State Constituency with Musa Atoyebi, whom he identified as the younger brother of President Bola Tinubu’s Aide-de-Camp.

Sulaimon made the allegation on Saturday during an interview with Arewa PUNCH at a peaceful protest in Erin-Ile, Oyun Local Government Area, where he was joined by supporters and party stakeholders who urged the leadership of the APC to respect what they described as the outcome of the party’s primary election.

Arewa PUNCH reports that Atoyebi is the incumbent member representing Odo-Ogun State Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly and currently serves as the Deputy Speaker.

Addressing the protesters, Sulaimon insisted that he won the APC primary election for the Odo-Ogun State Constituency and remained the party’s rightful candidate for the 2027 general election.

He said, “I am the duly elected winner of the APC primary election for Odo-Ogun State Constituency, having emerged victorious over the incumbent member of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
