July 6 (UPI) -- Ricky Gervais, who created and starred on the original, British version of The Office, has announced plans to celebrate the show's 25th anniversary.
Gervais, 65, said Monday that he will revisit 25 favorite moments featuring his character, David Brent. The special will stream Wednesday on his YouTube channel.
In a preview, Gervais cited David begging for his job back in Season 2, Episode 6, as the "first bit of serious acting I've ever done."
Other 25th anniversary celebrations will include a special featuring Martin Freeman and Mackenzie Crook, who played Tim and Garreth, airing Wednesday.
