A Services SETA entrepreneurship training programme for young unemployed South Africans has helped transform Phindile Maluleke's life. He now not only has a qualification beyond Matric, but also owns a registered business.

For years, Phindile Maluleke's only qualification was a Grade 12 certificate. Despite his determination to improve his life, opportunities remained out of reach.

"I was struggling because all I had was Grade 12," he recalled. "It was difficult for me to enrol anywhere until this opportunity came."

Today, the Johannesburg resident proudly owns a registered business - a dream he said became possible after completing the Services SETA New Venture Creation Learnership, implemented in partnership with the City of Johannesburg and Phoosane Institute.

"I have managed to start my own business," he said with pride. "The programme opened my mind to think beyond the way I was thinking before. My company is now registered with CIPC, and that is my biggest success."
