Russia launched waves of missiles and drones against Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight, killing at least 10 people and injuring at least 56 others, hours after President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned of another possible large-scale attack on the capital. Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported that a residential building in the Podilskyi district was partially destroyed between the fifth and ninth floors. Photos and videos published on social media show part of the building's facade collapsed after the missile impact.

Other multi-story residential buildings were hit in the Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts, while three other residential buildings were targeted in the Darnytskyi district. According to authorities, at least nine people died and 46 were injured within Kyiv city limits. At least one person died and ten were injured in communities just outside the capital, in the Kyiv oblast, regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk stated. Rescue teams are on site, and the death toll could rise.
