As of the morning of July 6, consumers in six Ukrainian regions remain without electricity following a large-scale Russian attack and continued strikes.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's power grid operator Ukrenergo reported this on Facebook.
"Russia carried out another massive missile and drone attack, including strikes on civilian energy infrastructure. As of this morning, the attacks have caused new power outages in the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions," the statement said.
Ukrenergo noted that repair crews have begun restoration work wherever the security situation permits.
Separately, thunderstorms and strong winds left 58 settlements in the Sumy region fully or partially without electricity. Regional power utility crews have already begun repairing damaged power lines.
