Godwin-Isaac made the allegation in a distress message sent on Sunday, which coincided with her birthday, saying she had remained "a prisoner" inside her Abuja residence for seven consecutive days without access to electricity, water or cooking gas.

An Abuja-based property developer, Rebecca Omokámo Godwin-Isaac, also known as Bilkisu Ishaku Aliyu, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of defying a subsisting court order by allegedly continuing to occupy her residence and subjecting her to what she described as inhumane treatment.

Godwin-Isaac made the allegation in a distress message sent on Sunday, which coincided with her birthday, saying she had remained "a prisoner" inside her Abuja residence for seven consecutive days without access to electricity, water or cooking gas.

According to her, the continued occupation of the property by EFCC operatives has left her unable to cook, move freely or live with dignity despite a Federal High Court order directing that the status quo be maintained pending the hearing of the substantive application.

"Today, Sunday, July 5, is my birthday, yet it is now seven days that I have remained a prisoner in my home without water, electricity or gas. I cannot cook to eat or live properly, and I am deeply distressed,” she said in an SOS message.
