According to him, the impact of the insecurity has been devastating, with lives lost, thousands displaced and several communities destroyed by armed attacks.

The Youth President of Borgu Kingdom, Comrade Abdullahi Yahaya Sadauki, has raised the alarm over what he described as worsening insecurity across communities in Borgu Kingdom, Niger State, calling on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Umar Mohammed Bago and security agencies to take immediate action before the kingdom is "totally extinct."

In a statement obtained by SaharaReporters on Sunday, Sadauki said the people of Borgu could no longer remain silent while lives were being lost daily and communities continued to live in fear and uncertainty.

"The purpose of this press conference is to draw urgent attention of the Government to the worsening insecurity affecting communities across Borgu Kingdom. We can no longer remain silent while our people continue to die on daily basis, live in fear and uncertainty," he said.

While acknowledging the efforts of government, security formations and other stakeholders in tackling insecurity, the youth leader said it was important to present what he described as "the true picture of happenings in our communities."
