The Youth Arise Movement (YAM) has expressed deep concerns over the worsening security situation across Nigeria, urging President Bola Tinubu and relevant government authorities to take urgent and decisive measures to protect the lives and property of citizens.

In a statement signed by its Convener, Comrade Ademola Babatunde, the movement lamented that Nigerians have continued to suffer from relentless attacks by terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements for more than fifteen years, resulting in the deaths, displacement, and abduction of thousands of people across the country.

The group said the prolonged security crisis has devastated communities, crippled businesses, and turned schools, places of worship, and other public institutions into targets of violence.

According to the statement, insecurity has reached alarming levels and is now affecting every segment of Nigerian society, regardless of economic or social status.
