As many as seven bridge-cum-barrages were submerged in Belagavi district after heavy rain in South Maharashtra and parts of Belagavi district on Sunday.Vehicular traffic on the bridge-cum-barrages on the Krishna and the Dudhaganga rivers was stopped.Commuters were asked to take alternative routes.Bridge-cum-barrages in Kallol-Yadoor, Malikawad-Dattawad, Karadaga-Bhoj, Bhojawadi-Kunnur, Koganolli, Jatrata-Bhivashi and Akkol-Sidnal were submerged.
The water level in the Krishna at Kallol Barrage in Belagavi district is increasing following rainfall in Karnataka and Maharashtra on Sunday.
