Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) Commissioner Ketan Garg has directed the Engineering Department to prepare a comprehensive development plan, along with detailed cost estimates, and submit a report for the development of the park located at FACOR Layout near Ram Nagar in the GVMC East Zone.On Sunday, the Commissioner, accompanied by GVMC Additional Commissioner P.M. Satyaveni and Executive Engineer Gangadhar, inspected the proposed park site at FACOR Layout.During inspection, the Commissioner reviewed the available land and discussed the proposed development plans. Representatives of the FACOR Layout Residents Association (FLORA) met the Commissioner and explained that more than 650 families reside in the locality. They informed that the area lacks a proper public park for walking, recreation, children’s play, and physical exercise, and requested the development of the existing park site with all necessary amenities.The Association also expressed its willingness to participate in the project by contributing one-third of the total development cost under a community partnership model and requested GVMC to develop the park with modern infrastructure for the benefit of the residents.
