Former Orlando Pirates star Thabang Monare has signed for Cape Town City.
Cape Town City have stated their intentions to return to the Betway Premiership with the signing of former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare.
The 36-year-old, who was capped 10 times by the national team, joins City from Sekhukhune United, where he played under former Citizens coach Eric Tinkler last season.
Monare boasts plenty of experience, having won the Betway Premiership, two MTN8 and Nedbank Cup titles and Carling Cup, during his distinguished career.
New Cape Town City coach Andries Ulderink will certainly hope Monare is able to guide a youthful City squad that fell short in the PSL promotion playoffs last season.
