The G2 Esports top laner pulled out the pick during the MSI 2026 bracket stage on July 5 against Hanwha Life Esports, and the results were, to put it mildly, devastating for HLE’s bot lane. The kind of devastating that generates highlight clips within minutes and makes the entire competitive community collectively raise an eyebrow.
The Warwick factor
BrokenBlade used the champion’s kit to create relentless pressure, eventually “melting” HLE’s bot lane in engagements that left little room for counterplay. Social media reacted about how you’d expect. Highlight clips circulated immediately, with commentary ranging from genuine admiration to disbelief.
What made the performance particularly impressive was the context. This wasn’t a throwaway game in a regional league. MSI is the Mid-Season Invitational, where the best teams from every major region collide.
