Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik wants you to know that G2 Esports isn’t done cooking. The toplaner sat down ahead of continued Mid-Season Invitational play to talk about where his team stands, and the message was clear: strong potential, but the work isn’t finished.
BrokenBlade acknowledged that G2 has grown considerably since their first stand at the tournament. But growth and destination are two different things, and he stressed that the team “must improve themselves” to reach the level they’re targeting.
From rocky start to legitimate contender
G2’s MSI journey hasn’t been a straight line. The team fought through a challenging early stretch during play-ins before finding their footing and advancing deeper into the bracket. The path forward brought them face-to-face with some of the best rosters on the planet, including Gen.G.
The team has been putting in work through warmup scrims that focus on both individual skill refinement and collective synergy.
