Publicity displays about the long history of the Indian Army’s Officers Training Academy (OTA) at St. Thomas Mount have been installed at the OTA-Nanganallur Road Metro Station. They were unveiled by the Commandant of the OTA, Lieutenant-General Michael AJ Fernandez, on Saturday.The displays – installed to raise public awareness of OTA Chennai and highlight career opportunities in the Indian Army – were formally dedicated at a ceremony held at the Metro station. Mr. Fernandez said OTA Chennai had a proud legacy of producing military leaders who served the nation with honour and distinction. The displays are intended to reach out to the travelling public, communicate the academy’s core values of leadership, discipline, and courage, to them, and inspire aspiring youth to explore the diverse career opportunities offered by the Indian Army.
