Vietnam has identified semiconductors as a strategic industry to support artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing.
Hanoi has also set a target for the digital economy's value-added contribution to account for at least 22% of its Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) by 2026.
Under the agreement, the Hanoi People's Committee will coordinate resources and facilitate collaboration. HUST will lead research and talent development, while MERI will provide technical expertise and support technology transfer.
