An urgent court interdict against Dr Ntando Duze has been struck off the roll due to a lack of urgency.

An urgent application by a former patient seeking to stop his cardiologist from posting TikTok videos about him has been struck off the roll by the Pietermaritzburg High Court for lack of urgency.

Jeffrey Chetty approached the court urgently to seek an interdict against his former cardiologist, Dr Ntando Duze, to prevent the publication of videos that allegedly disclosed his private medical information.

Dr Duze treated Chetty at Life Westville Hospital in March 2025. Chetty claims the treatment he received fell below the expected standard after he sought a second opinion from another specialist at eThekwini Hospital.

In his affidavit, Chetty alleged that Dr Duze posted a series of TikTok videos containing defamatory statements and sought an order compelling the doctor to remove them.
