The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has constituted a five-member reconciliation committee to engage aggrieved members and other stakeholders in a bid to resolve internal differences and strengthen party cohesion ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The committee, which was announced in a statement issued on Friday by the State Publicity Secretary of the party, Babatunde Olawale, will be chaired by retired Colonel Ademola Lawal.

Other members of the committee are Assistant Comptroller General Ahmed Abbas, Engr. Musa Yeketi, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Opawoye and Hajia Kubura Kassum.

According to the statement, the committee is expected to engage all tendencies within the party, identify areas of disagreement and recommend practical solutions to foster unity among members.

Speaking on the committee’s mandate, the state chairman of the APC, Sunday Fagbemi, said the panel was established to ensure that all stakeholders are carried along as the party prepares for the next general election.
